Ant´s Arses!

On Friday we went in the the centre of Bogota to pick up our tickets for Cartagena amongst other things. We started off by walking to the new shopping centre a couple of blocks away from Marcela´s mum and dad´s house, on the way home from the airport I´d noticed a "casino" sign on the side of the building so we went to see if it was an actual casino or an arcade full of fruit machines. At first it looked just looked like an arcade but as we went in we saw a roulette wheel as well as a few poker and blackjack tables, all of which where maned with croupiers during the day so no doubt we´ll be making a return visit or 2 to there.

Whilst picking up the tickets we saw someone selling something that looked like raisins, I asked Marcela what "hormigas culonas" means, well it basically means big ants arse! Slightly sceptical but willing to try anything, we bought some. Having eaten insects before and seeing the size I asked what they were coated in, nothing they´re just roasted! I tried a couple and they´re not offensive, just a slightly salty snack, although you do tend to get bits stuck in your teeth.
